Andy bailey of bleacher report published an article with the new three-team nba trades where everyone wins and i thought it was fascinating and it got me thinking because i didn’t really like the Los Angeles Lakers Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs trade idea but also there was another trade idea in the article involving the Charlotte hornets the Utah Jazz and the Indiana Pacers.
So i thought it’d be interesting if i came up with a trade idea that sort of took multiple aspects from both of these trades and put them together to make one trade that i think could help the lakers the pacers and the Utah Jazz along with the Charlotte hornets i just didn’t really like the San Antonio Spurs being involved in the three-team trade scenario that was suggested in this article so i removed them from my trade scenario, let’s look at this trade so Bojan bogdanovic kelly Oubre jr and buddy Hield would join the Los Angeles Lakers.
The lakers would trade away Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz, and they would also trade away their 2027 and 2029 first round picks the Indiana Pacers would add Gordon Hayward James book knight, and they would get two future first round picks from the Charlotte hornets and then the Charlotte hornets would add Jordan Clarkson, Malik Beasley and myles turner now James book night was a lottery pick not too long ago.
So the Indiana Pacers trading away an older shooting guard and buddy hield and adding in a younger guy who fits their timeline of their rebuild a lot better in James book night could be a good idea Gordon Hayward could be a veteran player for Indiana who could not take too many shots away from the young guys but also provide mentorship and help those guys out.
So i like the tray from that aspect then you look at the Charlotte hornets they’re able to add many quality rotational players who can help them compete right now Jordan Clarkson could be a great bucket getter off the bench for the hornets myles turner could give them a 5 who they could rely on which i feel like the Charlotte hornets have needed for years and Malik Beasley could be another bucket getter for the hornets a guy who can space the floor at a high level and then you look at this trade from the lakers aspect they would add in two good wings and kelly Oubre JR, and Bojan bogdanovic kelly Oubre JR is really athletic.
I think he could be a great defensive player for the lakers Bojan bogdanovic is an elite floor spacer a guy who averaged almost 20 a game last year and buddy hield he is one of the best shooters in the league so the floor spacing he could provide would be great for the lakers as well so i think that this trade would help out the lakers a ton offensively, and they would maintain some of their long-term flexibility because only one of these guys in buddy hield is on a two-year deal both bogdanovic and kelly Oubre JR are only on one year deals.
