The Mavericks have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal with Seth Curry.
The 28-year-old guard spent the 2018-19 season with the Portland Trail Blazers, where he averaged 7.9 points and 1.6 assists while primarily serving as a three-point specialist off the bench.
Curry had previously been with the Cavaliers, Grizzlies, Suns, Kings, and Mavericks in a five-year
before signing a one-year contract with the Blazers after missing the 2017-18 season due to a stress reaction in his left tibia.
Last year, he spoke to The Athletic's Jason Quick, saying, "I've always said the most important part of being an athlete or a basketball player is the mental aspect.”
He also mentioned a conversation with fellow Blazer Lillard which helped turn his season around.
With the Dallas Mavericks having lost top targets such as Kemba Walker this offseason, the signing of Seth Curry marks a slow-play approach to the free agency period.
