Lakers Kyrie Irving Signing UPDATE, After Westbrook News! Lakers Plan to Sign Kyrie!

The Los Angeles Lakers reportedly have some interest in the Utah Jazz veterans, but they’re prioritizing 2023 cap space in these trades as well.

Lakers Kyrie Irving Signing UPDATE, After Westbrook News! Lakers Plan to Sign Kyrie!

So that’s something to keep in mind as the Los Angeles Lakers move forward trying to find trades that can help improve their roster and it was reported a little while ago that the lakers still believe that they can add Kyrie Irving to their roster in the 2023 off season.

This off season was filled with rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers trying to add kyrie to their roster and it seems like if they had budged on giving up both of those first-round picks earlier in the off-season, when Brooklyn and kyrie’s relationship was deteriorating the Los Angeles Lakers probably could have added kyrie to their roster.

But they ultimately didn’t budge on those picks early enough and that led to Kyrie Irving mending his relationship with Brooklyn, now Kevin Durant has also at least for the current time being amended his relationship with Brooklyn, and they’re looking to run it back but kyrie’s still a 2023 free agent and when you look at this trade with the Utah Jazz, the Los Angeles Lakers would be taking on some long-term money now they could try to trade some of those guys away in the 2023 off season, to clear up cap space to add kyrie or work out some type of sign in trade.

But that does make things a bit more difficult for la now you do have this conflicting timeline because you would like to add Kyrie Irving, if you’re the lakers he could help you compete but can you really throw away another season, if you’re the lakers, i mean LeBron James is going to be 38 in this upcoming season.

As much as he has been able to defy father time up until this point, we know that in the nba father time is undefeated and eventually we will see LeBron James’s play start to go down as, he has been in the league this is going to be year 20, so eventually LeBron James will start slowing down and the lakers, can’t really afford to waste another year of lebron like they did this year by entirely missing the play-in tournament, so with that the Los Angeles Lakers might need to make a win-now move even if that does hurt their chances to add Kyrie Irving in the 2023 off season.

Because there’s still a chance that like i said they could trade away guys like Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson who are on longer term deals now Clarkson does have a player option for the 2023-24 season. so there’s a chance he opts out of that and then Mike Conley’s money is only partially guaranteed for the 2023-24 season which would make him a bit easier to trade now you are giving up two future draft picks those are the two tradable picks that the Los Angeles Lakers currently have so essentially you’re giving up your two most valuable future assets to improve your roster for this upcoming season.

Now i think a trade where the Los Angeles Lakers add cam reddish tj McConnell miles turner and buddy Hield could really help out the team.
